Heritage Museum
Brooksville, FL
Built in 1856, this house (now a museum) holds a lot of history. But, history is not all it holds. There is the spirit of a little girl there that some claim to be named Jessie May.
Florida Ghost Team has an ongoing investigation here and so far, we have gotten some paranormal occurrences recorded. However, there is one resident at this location that is all but good. In the attic upstairs, there is an ominous energy that sometimes presents itself as a black mist or form.
Some visitors that have no knowledge of the energy have refused to even go into the attic on the tours. Jessie May, little girl, is said to play with a tea set and caused a dollhouse to move on its own.
This summary will be updated as soon as we have completed our investigation there. We have some EVPs on the website already. There are ghost tours there now after Florida Ghost Team established that there are paranormal energies residing in the house.
The Stranahan House
Ft. Lauderdale, FL
The presences of Frank and Ivy Stranahan are felt in this historic home in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. There are others sensed here as well. Volunteers that worked here have seen the spirit of a man coming in and out of the bathroom. Also, reports of moaning within the house. In the gift shop, on the second floor, sometimes you can smell the scent of a lilac type soap or perfume which seems to come and go. Even if you are not a ghost buff, you would still get a thrill just admiring the beauty and old-fashioned style of this charming house where the pioneers of Ft. Lauderdale once resided.
The Curtiss Mansion
Miami Springs, FL
There are many rumors surrounding this mansion. It now stands burned and basically a shell. Florida Ghost Team investigated and found it to be occupied by spirits but it is unknown who they are. There is a feeling of someone looking down at you from the second floor and there is an overwhelming feeling of depression in an area towards the front part of the mansion. Florida Ghost Team has recorded sounds here. We left the recorder in a back area and walked away to investigate other parts of the home. |

Hollywood Beach Resort
Hollywood Beach, FL
Goes back to the times of Al Capone and the gangster era. This hotel sits along the beach and has a nice restaurant and bar. The room known as the chiller room is rumored to the spirits of two men that were murdered there. This room is extremely dark and definitely holds a dark aura about it. Heavy breaths heard on a video tape. It is also said to have had dishes fly off shelves in an area that is now closed and locked.
House of Refuge
Martin County, FL
Florida Ghost Team conducted an investigation at the House of Refuge in Martin County, Florida. There are definitely a few presences felt here. We caught a few orbs on video and photos and also, some blue ecto as well.
A shadow form was noticed in one of the upstairs a former worker also reports window and it, that a man had been seen staring out of the second floor window. Our team sensitive felt the spirits of nurses and injured survivors.
She also felt the image of the dead being kept in the basement until a proper burial could be given.
Stories of the House include seeing human images on the rock behind the house whenever there is a storm approaching.
East Martello Museum
Key West, FL
This museum is not only reported to be active, but it is said that a possessed doll named, Robert, moves and walks on his own.
Also, the figure of a uniformed soldier is seen in the tower that sits right in the center of the museum.
Fire station No. 8
Ft Lauderdale, FL
Fire Station No. 8 sits in downtown Ft Lauderdale and is reportedly active by the spirit of a fallen firefighter, Robert Knight.
Many of the personnel at the station have accounts of shadows, doors opening and closing, faces peeking through windows and unexplained sounds. |
