Strong feelings of being watched or followed
Possibilities: Strong imagination or medication side affects
Sudden cold areas or feeling
Possibilities: Some rooms that are not fully furnished or tiled may attribute to colder temperatures
Sudden unexplained breezes
Possibilities: Ceiling of regular fans, open windows
Hair on arms and neck standing on end
Possibilities: Static in clothes, walking on carpet barefoot
Unexplained voices
Possibilities: People outside talking, neighbor's radio or tv, etc
Shadows
Possibilities: Lights casting shadows, people inside or outside of the structure walking by. Trees outside of windows
Movement out of the corner of your eye (usually when you are alone)
Possibilities: Extreme fatigue
Appliances on/off
Possibilities: Electrical issues, TV sleep timer on, clock alarm set, etc
Doors opening and closing on their own
Possibilities: Suction from drafts or another door being opened, breeze from open windows, uneven door
Items being moved, rearranged or missing
Possibilities: Someone else moving or touching items, memory loss
Tapping or knocking from no source
Possibilities: Faulty plumbing, shutters, rodents, house settling
Apparitions
Possibilities: Reflections on glass, Prescription drugs that cause hallucinations, Vapor from a heated object
Calling of your name from no apparent source
Possibilities: People talking outside or someone (living) in your home, Low playng radio or TV
Unexplained lights
Possibilities: Car headlights, TV flash
Lights flickering
Possibilities: Faulty wiring, loose bulbs, power surge
Being touched (shoulder, arm, etc.)
Possibilities: Fans, Air vents or brushing up against things
Tugging of clothes
Possibilities: Snagging your clothes on an object, Static electricity
Unexplained smoke or mist
Possibilities: Breath on a cold day or night, beam of light on leftover cigarette or cigar smoke
Furniture rearranged
Possibilities: Someone else moving or touching items, memory loss
Unexplained footsteps
Possibilities: People walking outside or neighbor upstairs
Audible Breath or Hiss
Possibilities: A/C unit upon shut off, Runny toilet
There are many ways to tell if your house is active. Below are a few ways to detect spirit activity. Just because you are experiencing any of these signs, it does not indicate that there is paranormal activity.
Check for logical explanations first before assuming.
